Rhayader, Mid Wales & the surrounding area

There is lots to do in Mid Wales, especially in and around Rhayader. It has stunning scenery, most beautiful being the Elan Valley Dams which is only 3 miles up the road, it has lots of walks all around the 5 large Victorian Dams suitable for all abilities, but if you don't want to walk around them, there is also a road which does a loop around the whole Valley with plenty of places to stop and take in the breath taking scenery. However if walking isn't really your thing then there is plenty to do in Rhayader too, from watching the red kite feeding at Gigrin Farm to touring the Royal Welsh Crystal Factory to treating yourself to a cream tea in our Coffee Shop Ty Morgans; there really is something for everyone.
